What to Expect

Each month, you’ll be presented with book selections and topics that range from faith, trauma, and deconstruction to reconstruction, identity, and belonging.

Approaching the book of the month with curiosity, compassion, and kindness, we’ll read with the intent to learn from the books and from each other.

You can choose to read alone, join a virtual reading session, or both. At the end of each month, we’ll meet to discuss. And all along the way, you’ll meet others in our community as we read, learn, and grow together.

Both the book club and benefits will grow along with each of us, and will be shaped by your valuable feedback and input.

If you're looking for a community and safe space to read, learn, and grow together, join us!

Vote for our next selection!

Each month, our Club members will get to vote for the book we read next month. Here are the book choices for next month:

Offering a phrase by phrase look at Psalm 23 through the lens of a trauma-informed therapist, this book provides a spiritual framework paired with practical tools to rediscover your Belovedness. Read about the Good Shepherd who identifies with every hurt we experience, comes after each one who is lost or wandering, and who provides everything we need.

Perhaps best known for her podcast and book, The Next Right Thing, Freeman offers incredibly practical tools on discerning when to stay and when to leave different rooms and spaces, including the liminal space she identifies as the hallway. Learn how to identify, approach, and ask questions about each space, and how to discern and decide when it’s time to stay or move on.

Causing us to reevaluate the way we’re living without knowing what to do next, liminal space doesn’t have to be a crisis, but an unraveling, a chance to let go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embrace who we really are. Learn to take an inward journey, listening and discerning along the way, and discover that the inner work is being done whether we recognize it or not.
